Scope of the CardioChavitos program

CardioChavitos provides comprehensive, free and specialized medical care to children and adolescents with congenital heart disease in economically vulnerable situations.

The care model has a national scope

To ensure continuity of treatment and close patient follow-up, CardioChavitos has a nationwide network of physicians specializing in pediatric cardiology and other complementary areas, strategically distributed in the following states:

  • Chihuahua
  • Jalisco
  • Nuevo León
  • Quintana Roo
  • Mexico City
  • Querétaro

This supportive medical network allows for pre-assessments, diagnoses, post-operative follow-up and linkage with the central team, ensuring efficient, close and timely care.

Among the heart diseases treated are:

Ventricular septal defect (VSD).

Atrial septal defect (ASD).

Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).

Transposition of great arteries.

Coarctation of the aorta.

Pulmonary and aortic stenosis.

Atrioventricular canal.

Tricuspid atresia.

Patent ductus arteriosus (PCA).

Cardiopathies associated with genetic syndromes and other conditions.

Important: CardioChavitos does not attend medical emergencies.

Our approach is preventive and programmed, focused on improving the quality of life of people with heart disease and accompanying them in the exercise of their right to health.
